What he teaches
Robbins built his method on the idea that your state, how you hold your body and where you put your focus, decides what you do next. His events are designed to prove it to you physically: loud music, hours on your feet, and at Unleash the Power Within a walk across hot coals.
Underneath the spectacle is a consistent framework. People are driven by a small set of human needs, by the meaning they give events, and by the standards they refuse to drop.
What he sells
The books and older audio programs are the cheapest route and hold most of the ideas. Events run from an entry-level weekend to the longer and much more expensive Date With Destiny and Business Mastery, and there is a coaching arm above those.
Where it stops
The most common report from attendees is the same one: an extraordinary weekend, then a fade. Robbins teaches follow-up rituals, and those who keep them do better. The event sells the peak. Keeping it is left to you or to paid coaching.
The verdict
Go once if you have never been to a large event; it is an experience. Read Awaken the Giant Within first, and decide in advance what you will not buy at the back of the room.
If the problem is not knowing what to do
Business teachers assume that once you know the steps you will take them. If you already know the steps and something in you keeps not taking them, that is a different subject. The best free training we have found on it is Your Wish Is Your Command.
