What he teaches
Dispenza, a chiropractor by training, teaches long guided meditations aimed at breaking the loop between familiar thoughts and familiar feelings. He leans heavily on scientific language and measures attendees at his events. Researchers outside his organisation dispute how much those measurements show.
What he sells
The books explain the model in full. The meditations are sold as individual recordings. The retreats are the premium product: a week, a large room, many hours of meditation a day.
Where it stops
The work demands time. An hour or more of meditation a day is the standard request, and results track the practice. His healing claims draw the most criticism and should be weighed with care, especially by anyone with a medical condition.
The verdict
Start with Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself and one meditation. If you keep the practice for a month, the larger programs may be worth it. If you do not, they will not fix that.
